The Toy Industry Foundation (TIF) recently launched a new program that lets kids, communities and companies make a stand – a lemonade stand – that will help give the gift of play to disadvantaged children around the country.
“Make a Stand for Kids” is a charity-based initiative that encourages young entrepreneurs to set up and run their own lemonade stand.
The Otto Bremer Foundation, majority owner of Bremer Bank, awarded $35,000 to the city of Millerville. The funds will be used to support the renovations to the playground for the Millerville Community Club.
The Alexandria Area Community Foundation (AACF) plans to award $30,000 in grants to organizations that serve the residents of the Alexandria area and improve the quality of life in the region.
The deadline to submit grant applications is July 31.
The Bernick Family Foundation and the Central Minnesota Community Foundation (CMCF) announce that $150,000 will be available in the fifth annual round of Bernick’s community grants. Letters of inquiry will be accepted through September 1.
