Alex ArtWorks’ Third Thursdays Art Show opens for the season on Thursday, June 20. The other two shows will take place on Thursdays, July 18 and August 15. Each show runs from 4 to 7 p.m. at Depot Express Restaurant in Alexandria.
Alexandria artist Janelle Sundberg currently has more than 20 of her original watercolor paintings on exhibit at the Historic Landmark Center in Henning through March. The exhibit is called Up Close and Personal: Faces and Flowers.
The talents and skills of central Minnesota quilters will be on display at the ninth annual Quilts Along the Trail show in Osakis on Saturday, September 8 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. Displays include many varieties and time periods from antique and vintage to traditional and contemporary.
Artist Donna Jean Carver's artwork is now on display at the Evansville Art Center. The exhibit will run through Saturday, August 25. An artist's reception will be held that Saturday from noon to 2 p.m.
A new exhibit showcasing four historic lodging properties that played key roles in the development of the local tourism industry is opening at the Minnesota Lakes Maritime Museum in Alexandria. Three of these resorts and hotels are still in operation today.
Evansville Arts Coalition is looking for area photographers to exhibit their photos. Each photo must be framed and ready for wall hanging in at least a 5x7 inch frame, but no larger than 18x24 inches.
Artists may enter a maximum of five photos that have not been in any prior EAC exhibits.
In honor of the 150th anniversary of the Civil War, the Evansville Arts Coalition will have items from that period on display the month of October. The exhibit can be viewed at the Evansville Art Center (EAC) at 111 Main Street, Evansville.
This exhibit will open on Friday, September 30 and run through Saturday, October 29.
