Diversity Resource Action Alliance (DRAA), in partnership with Alexandria District 206, will sponsor two presentations, Cyber Safety and Theory of Mind, on Tuesday, October 30. These events are free and open to the public.
During the past couple years, Alexandria School District 206 has developed a Respect Committee made up of a variety of members. There are a variety of people serving, including District 206 staff, community members, students and parents. The committee’s sole focus is creating a respectful environment at all levels among all students and staff.
The Alexandria School District 206 fifth annual Alumni Hall of Fame recognition luncheon and celebration is set for Friday, September 23 from noon to 1:15 p.m. at the Broadway Ballroom in Alexandria.
The Alexandria Public Schools Education Foundation established the event in an effort to honor outstanding alumni who have earned distinction or achievement in their chosen field.
Three individuals will be honored at this year’s luncheon – Jodi Hills, Patrick Redig and Roderick Nordell.
The Jefferson High School (JHS) cafeteria was filled with people last Thursday night – district residents, students and staff members – eager to hear about the proposed new high school project and to see a preliminary conceptual design and 3-D model.
