Those first few flakes of winter have fallen and melted (and fallen again!). The turtlenecks and sweaters have made their way to my dresser and I am eagerly looking forward to the coming season… until it lasts forever.

The county received 1,000 CFL bulbs last week for winning a national “Change A Light” contest – an honor given to just six counties in the United States.
It did it by gathering the most pledges from residents and county employees who agreed to replace their regular light bulbs with CFLs.
