The Inspiration 100 – a 100-mile gravel road bicycle race – will start from the Garfield Elementary School this Saturday, September 8 at 8 a.m.
More than 80 riders from the upper Midwest and beyond will descend upon Garfield that morning to ride a gravel road loop that will take them through the Leaf Valley hills around Inspiration Peak, to Clitherall, and then back again.
The National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Upper Midwest Chapter will host Bike MS: TRAM Ride, starting in Alexandria on Sunday, July 22 and running through Friday, July 27. More than 850 riders will participate in the five-day adventure around Minnesota and pedal toward a world without multiple sclerosis (MS).
Governor Mark Dayton has declared October Safe Routes to School Month to highlight the benefits of walking and bicycling to school. Across Minnesota, thousands of kids are expected to walk and bicycle during events held at local schools.
