My son and I had the privilege of attending Monday’s PGA practice round at Hazeltine. I viewed it as a great chance to explain how golf is a game of individual accomplishment built upon self control, etiquette, courtesy and a respect of others.
Evelyn Berger, 97, of Perham, died Wednesday, December 3, 2008, at the Perham Memorial Nursing Home.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 6, at the United Methodist Church, Perham, with the Rev. Fair Caldwell-Meeks officiating.

Funeral services were held Monday, May 19, at First Lutheran Church, Mahnomen, led by the Rev. Kristen Larsen-Schmidt and Chaplain Vicki Marthaler. Serving as pallbearers were Todd Benesh, Troy Benesh, Travis Benesh, Regie Berger and Mike Honek. . Burial was in the Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery, Mahnomen.
