Linda Hennen, director of the Minnesota State Farm Service Agency, announced that the Department of Agriculture will issue Average Crop Revenue Election (ACRE) payments for the 2009 crop year to Minnesota producers enrolled in the ACRE program for sunflowers and flaxseed.
Linda Hennen, executive director of USDA’s Minnesota Farm Service Agency (FSA), reminds producers that June 1, 2010, is the deadline for the 2010 Average Crop Revenue Election (ACRE) program or the traditional Direct and Counter-cyclical Program (DCP).
The Farm Business Management program at Central Lakes College will host a free producer meeting to address questions regarding the ACRE program, milk and crop marketing opportunities as well as the latest strategies using crop insurance.
The sign up for the 2009 Direct Countercyclical Program (DCP) and Average Crop Revenue Election (ACRE) Program will end Friday, August 14.
The 2009 Acreage Reporting will also conclude on Friday, August 14.
