A dollar may not seem like much. But pooling together those dollars from everyone throughout the community for a month can make a big difference in the lives of other people.
That’s the goal of a new March campaign launched by the United Way of Pope and Douglas Counties.
If you haven’t guessed it by now, this story is about United Way of Douglas and Pope County’s annual chili feed and silent auction on Tuesday.

United Way of Douglas and Pope Counties recently added three new members to the United Way Board: Bill Finley, Kellie Janssen and Becky Zwilling.
Finley, the CFO at Tastefully Simple, has previously served on United Way’s board. He has also been active in and served on other boards involving AAHA, GAIN, Alexandria Area Community and Technical College, District 206 and St. Mary’s Church.
