Two more Douglas County townships have decided to drop out of the Central Lakes Region Sanitary District. Supervisors for both LaGrand and Moe Townships voted unanimously Monday to withdraw from CLRSD.
A district court judge has dismissed a lawsuit filed by four Douglas County residents against the Central Lakes Region Sanitary District. In what could prove to be a hollow victory for CLRSD, the verdict comes as another township has chosen to opt out of the district.
Four Douglas County residents have filed a lawsuit against the Central Lakes Region Sanitary District, alleging CLRSD officials violated the legislation that initially created the district, operating for years without a valid comprehensive plan.
