While 2010 had a deadly start with four deaths the first weekend, Minnesota’s 2009 preliminary traffic death count of 403 marks another significant drop in annual road fatalities, representing an 8 percent drop from the 455 deaths in 2008.
Starting today, Friday, here’s yet another incentive to buckle up…
Law enforcement officers from Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and Alexandria Police Department, along with officers from about 400 agencies across the state of Minnesota, will conduct enhanced “Click It or Ticket” seat belt patrols on October 9-22.
When parents bring their children to an amusement park, the rides the children can go on are most often chosen based on the height of each child.
For instance, many rides require children to be at least 48 inches tall.
A new Minnesota law that went into effect Wednesday, July 1, has similar regulations. The new law, however, applies to children riding in a motor vehicle.
