A patient being moved in a van from a state-run mental health facility in Fergus Falls to the Twin Cities overpowered the driver Wednesday morning in Todd County and fled alone in the vehicle, authorities said.
The week of October 3-9 is Mental Illness Awareness Week, and area professionals want you to know that there are numerous local resources that can help you or a family member suffering from mental illness.
A new program launched by Stevens County Human Services and funded by a grant from the Department of Human Services has begun providing crisis mental health assessment and referral services for children and families in Stevens, Pope, Douglas, Grant and Traverse counties.
