State patrol troopers, county deputies and city officers partnered to arrest 125 impaired drivers in June during enhanced DWI patrols in the state’s 13 counties with the most alcohol-related deaths and serious injuries, according to the Minnesota Department of Public Safety (DPS).
Alexandria and Douglas County motorists will face enhanced speed enforcement patrols throughout July as part of a statewide campaign administrated by the Minnesota Department of Public Safety Office of Traffic Safety.
During the statewide Click it or Ticket enforcement effort May 24 through June 6, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and Alexandria Police Department generated 156 seat belt and one child restraint citations.
