Thumbs Down: The Douglas County Board’s 3-2 decision to not proceed with the city of Alexandria on building a badly needed joint law enforcement center was short-sighted. Commissioners Dan Olson and Paul Anderson, the frustrated minority, should be commended for taking a big picture view of a tough situation by trying to save tax dollars in the long run.
