American Solutions for Business (ASB), with a home office in Glenwood, was recently named one of 14 companies selected by Promotional Products Business (PPB) magazine as this year’s Greatest Companies to Work For.
The Echo Press received the second most points in the Minnesota Newspaper Association’s annual contest among all non-daily newspapers in the state.
For the second straight year, the Detroit Lakes Tribune, another Forum Communications Company newspaper, accumulated the most points, 86, to win the prestigious Mills Trophy.
The Echo Press was next with 82 points, winning the Herman Roe Editorial Writing Award competition, six additional first place awards, six second place awards and 10 third place awards.
Jefferson High School (JHS) nominated Julia Sieling and Mitchell Peck for the Excellence in Community, Education and Leadership (ExCEL) Award.
Other finalists for the award included Melissa Drown, Elliot Jacobson, Carly Snell, Shelby Steidl, Emily Thul and Marissa Wheeler
If Cindy Haffner hadn’t had the flu, she wouldn’t be working in a barn.
But it’s a really nice barn. In fact, the remodeled farm building recently earned Cindy and her husband, John, honorable mention in the Friends of Minnesota Barns, Barn of the Year Award.
