State fair results for Douglas County 4-H members
4-H at the Minnesota State Fair is not just a fun annual event. Every summer, thousands of 4-H youth participate in the state fair to showcase the knowledge and skills they’ve gained throughout the year, and to continue their learning experience. More than 130 of those 4-H exhibits were from Douglas County.

In the U.S. on January 1, 2009, there were approximately 2,747,459 women alive who had a history of breast cancer. And the numbers are only growing. In 2012 alone, it is estimated that 226,000 more women will be diagnosed with breast cancer and 39,000 will die from it.
