The board approved a resolution that encourages the Legislature to enact a law that brings adequate funding to Minnesota’s statewide transportation system.

News of Ebert’s death last Thursday left me sad but launched a wave of good memories. For so many years, one of my weekly-ritual popcorn pleasures was to watch Siskel and Ebert at the Movies with hosts Gene Siskel and Roger Ebert. Many times, I actually made a big bowl of popcorn to enjoy while watching that show.

The Sauk River Watershed District (SRWD) presented it’s 10 year report to update Douglas County commissioners on the progress of improving water quality in area lakes and rivers. SRWD Administrator Holly Kovarik explained that by law, watershed districts are required to have a 10 year plan.
