United Way announces three new board members
United Way of Douglas and Pope Counties recently added three new members to the United Way Board: Bill Finley, Kellie Janssen and Becky Zwilling. Finley, the CFO at Tastefully Simple, has previously served on United Way’s board. He has also been active in and served on other boards involving AAHA, GAIN, Alexandria Area Community and Technical College, District 206 and St. Mary’s Church.

Brian Bangtson of Osakis carves beautiful decoys with dexterity and taste. What’s so miraculous about this? Bangtson, 47, was paralyzed from the chest down in 2005. A staph infection in the fall of 2005 left Bangtson paralyzed in the hospital for more than 15 weeks.
