The responses for the districts that held a primary on August 14, Districts 2, 3 and 4, have already been published. The newspaper will now be printing the responses from the other two districts, beginning with the District 1 race between challenger Bonnie Huettl and incumbent Jerry Johnson.

The Institution Community Work Crew (ICWC) program is a two-pronged enterprise: It benefits communities while helping inmates transition back into normal life. Since being founded in 1998, ICWC has provided more than 400 inmates with the opportunity to work in communities for low wages.

According to the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Department, Brian Van Engen, 56, was moving his boat lift when it came into contact with an extension cord that had been rubbed bare of insulation. The cord had been used to supply power to the electric boat lift.
