Key Club sponsors successful blood drive
The Jefferson High School (JHS) Key Club recently sponsored an American Red Cross blood drive at JHS in Alexandria. The Red Cross was able to collect 40 units of blood, with 95 percent of the donors having donated for the first time.

Walkers unite to help curb MS
The National Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society Upper Midwest Chapter held its Walk MS: Alexandria event this past Sunday and more than 200 people of all ages took part. All the money raised will go to support programs and services for the more than 17,000 people with MS and their families in the Upper Midwest Chapter area. Money helps fund cutting edge research to help stop the disease, restore lost function and create a world free of MS.
