Nursing homes to get bump in funding
Nursing homes and other care facilities will get more state money than they have seen in years. Senator Tony Lourey, DFL-Kerrick, said the budget plan lawmakers approved this session includes “the largest state investment in the nursing home industry in well over a decade.”

It was not necessarily a surprise to many Democrats, who say their party contains a variety of opinions and members from across the state. They can disagree as much with each other as Republicans.
