  • The Jefferson High School (JHS) Carolers are gearing-up for another holiday season. This year marks the group's 50th anniversary. The Carolers were formed in 1962 by Murrae Freng and continue to be a community tradition. This year's members include (back row) Brendan Holm, Kris Aaseng, Anthony Smith, Rocky Chock, Jack Stoeck, Ted Deitz; (middle row) Tori Long, Emma Lawrence, Tyler Maanum, Nic Hanson, Rachel Hansberry, Brendan Sieve; (front row) Mattie Ingebretson, Grace Griffin, Kendra Sukke, Courtney Wosepka, Leanza Wohlfeil and Heidi Bush. The performance season runs November 23 through December 21.   • Ryder Lenarz took first place in 11 regional tactor pulls this summer, which qualified him to compete at the state level, where he again finished first in his division. He finished second at the national level and qualified for the international event next August. (File photo)
