Michael Gregory Roers, 62, died Tuesday, November 6, 2012 in New Hope.

Michael Gregory Roers, 62, died Tuesday, November 6, 2012 in New Hope.

Michael was born April 14, 1950 in Glenwood, the son of Gary and Laura (Buse) Roers.

Michael worked for 22 years at the Alexandria Opportunity Center. He was also a member of the Eagles Club and St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

Michael enjoyed watching baseball, dancing and bowling. He always had a smile on his face and will be remembered for his charming personality.

He is survived by his brother, Pat (Deanna) Roers of Scottsdale, AZ; sisters, Judy (Earl) Anderson of Alexandria, Jane (Dennis) Zercher of Plymouth, Janice Roers of Minneapolis; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gary and Laura.

Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday, November 13 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alexandria. Honorary pallbearers were Shelly Meadows, Amanda Goertz, Scott Schmidt, David Roers, Erik Zercher, Alex Zercher and Terrill Schmidt. Burial was at St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Norbert and I are sorry to hear about Mike. He was a fine gentleman and will be missed by all that know him. I know him from when he was little and even babysit him. Norbert and Catherine (Gaffaney) Becker.
