Jerome Henry Klimek, 84, Millerville, died Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at Knute-Nelson in Alexandria.

Jerome was born to Peter and Anna (Buerskin) Klimek at home in Leaf Valley Township, Douglas County. He was baptized and confirmed at Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Millerville. He attended St. Mary's Parochial School in Millerville.

Jerome was united in marriage to Delleen "Adella" Daas on June 14, 1950 at Sacred Heart Church in Urbank. Following their marriage, they raised their family on his family farm in the Millerville area. He spent his life working hard: farming, roofing and building grain dryers.

Jerome was a member of Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Jerome is survived by his wife of 62 years, Adella; six sons, David (Jane) Klimek of St. Paul, Marty Klimek of Carlos, Allen (Sue Ann) Klimek of Alexandria, Greg (Diane) Klimek of Fergus Falls, Duane (Jackie) Klimek of Millerville and Don (Jill) Klimek of Garfield; six daughters, Emily Klimek of Juneau, Alaska, Germaine (Stephen) Beers of Alexandria, Kathy (Scott) Hansen of Leaf Valley, Renee (Joseph) Eustice of Ortonville, Rhonda (Jason) Bous of Miltona and Glenda (Jeremy) Judd of Wadena; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Klimek of Lowry; sister, Rita Wille of Alexandria; sister-in-law, Adelaide Klimek of Alexandria; 45 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Rick; grandson-in-law, Matt Baumann; brothers, Wilbert and Gebhart Klimek; sisters, Dorothy Koep and Sr. Lois Klimek, OSB; brothers-in-law, Dick Wille, Donald Koep, Leander Daas, Cyril Daas and Louie Buerman; and sister-in-law, Olivia Klimek.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 7 at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Millerville with Fr. Herb Gappa, M.M., officiating. Music will be provided by Rachel Wagner, Bernice DaLluge and the church choir. Burial will take place at the church cemetery.

Pallbearers will be his remaining six sons. Honorary pallbearers will be his six daughters.

Visitation is Tuesday, November 6 from 5 to 8 p.m., with 6:30 p.m. rosary and 7 p.m. parish prayers at the church; and one hour prior to the service at the church.
