Graveside services will held for James “Jay” Allen Campbell Jr., age 26 of Alexandria, on Monday, October 29 at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Cemetery in Henning. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. on Monday morning at Belmont Funeral Home in Henning.

James was born July 13, 1986 in Stockbridge, Georgia. Jay grew up in Georgia. When he was 2 years old and due to health reasons, Jay had a liver transplant. In 2001, Jay along with his family moved to Henning.
Jay enjoyed working on and repairing automobiles. He enjoyed turning a wrench, especially with old pickups.
In 2006, Jay made his home in Alexandria. He loved his best friend, Bruiser, a miniature pinscher, and “picking” old vehicles throughout Alexandria for himself and friends.
For the past six months, Jay has been battling a blood infection. On October 22, 2012 Jay passed away at Fairview Hospital in Minneapolis at 26 years of age. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Preceding Jay in death were his grandfathers, George Ohsberg and James H. Campbell.
Jay is survived by his loving mother, Karen Campbell of Alexandria; father, James A. Campbell Sr. of Sarasota, Florida; sister, Kristina Campbell of Alexandria; grandmother, Marjorie Ohsberg of Alexandria; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and a host of friends.
Memorials may be given to the University of Minnesota Transplant Division. Tributes may be posted online at www.belmontfuneral.com.
