Dylan Berry, 18

Dylan Berry, 18, of Long Prairie, chose to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 19, 2012.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held for Dylan on Friday, August 24 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, Long Prairie. The visitation was held Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the church and one prior to the service at the church. Burial was at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Clotho.

Dylan was born March 27, 1994 in Alexandria to Mike and Donna (Phelps) Berry. He was raised on the family farm near Clotho and attended school at St. Mary's Catholic School and graduated from Long Prairie-Grey Eagle High School in May 2012. Dylan enjoyed hunting, four-wheeling and hanging out with his friends on "Wednesday Wing Night." He loved working with his grandpa on the farm and all the animals, especially his dog, Blue.

He was a member of the Future Farmers of America and while in school, he took as many technical classes as possible to get out of regular classes. Dylan collected antique tractors and was very good with wood work, making furniture for his mom, Donna.

Dylan is survived by his parents, Mike and Donna Berry of Long Prairie; sisters, Megan Berry (Kyle Swanson) of Kensington and Mariah Berry of Long Prairie; grandparents, Leslie and Devona Berry of Long Prairie, Val Alcorn of Long Prairie and Mae Stevens of Emmetsburg, Iowa; godparents, Doug and Dione Lowe of Elk River, Bonnie Arnold of Greenbrier, Arkansas; and many aunts, uncle and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandpa, Robert Alcorn.
