Jeanne Erickson, 62
Jeanne went home to our Lord surrounded by loved ones on Wednesday, July 4, 2012.
Jeanne Lorrayne Erickson was born in Crookston on March 7, 1950 to Alvin and Annie Erickson. She spent most of her school years at Lake Bronson, and graduated from Moorhead High School in 1968. Jeanne was united in marriage to Karl Ness in 1966. This union was blessed with one child, Kari Jean.
In Kari's younger years, Jeanne was a stay at home mom. Kari loved coming home to the smell of fresh baked bread. Jeanne worked at Natrogas in Minneapolis doing administrative duties. She also worked as a realtor.
On October 3, 1992, Jeanne met the love of her life, Jerome Kiehne. She made a wonderful home for them in Hoffman for almost 20 years.
Jeanne will be remembered for her love of family and her teasing manner. She enjoyed many things like cooking, gardening, reading, spending time with the grandchildren, and playing cards - especially "Nertz." We were all proud of her 21 years of sobriety.
Jeanne went home to our Lord surrounded by loved ones on Wednesday, July 4, 2012. In her last months she was cared for by many wonderful people and family members. She has generously donated her body to the University of Minnesota for the research of Huntington's chorea and cancer.
Jeanne is survived by her loving companion, Jerome; and her beloved dog, Teddy Bear; daughters, Kari Martinson, James, Alicia and Andrew; stepdaughters, Jody Moen (Tim), Brad (Niki), Todd, Laura, and Jake; Robin DeMaris (Kurt), Elizabeth (John), and Kathryn; Christine Ley (Brian), Michelle (Billy), and Scott; Victoria Dale (John), Kayla, and Rachel; Jennifer Bennett (Mark), Ashley and Julia; siblings, Janice (Myron) Sele and Jim (Linda) Erickson; stepmother, Doris Erickson; step-siblings, Linda (Paul) Anderson, Lori (Tom) Etter, Richard (Peggy) Gjovik, Ron (Twila) Gjovik, and Margie (Steve) Holmgren; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
