Robert Allan Hansen, 65, of Alexandria, died Tuesday, March 6, 2012.

Memorial services were held on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at the Anderson Funeral Home with Rev. Greg Billberg officiating.

Rob was born on January 26, 1947, in Alexandria, the son of Ronald and Ione (Kluver) Hansen. He attended school in Alexandria. Rob was married to Cheryl Kiehne in September of 1967 and to this union three daughters were born: Kari, Stacy and Katina. He owned and operated several businesses in Alexandria including an auto body and auto mechanic company.

Rob along with his family and friends enjoyed several hunting and fishing trips to Canada. He will be remembered as a quiet but very caring man who would do anything for anyone. He was a very proud grandpa who loved spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his three daughters: Kari (Mark) Haugen of Alexandria, Stacy (Mike) Adamsheck of Burnsville, Katina (Jeff) Austin of Grand Meadow, MN; six grandchildren, Amber (Rick), Aaron, Alyssa, Erik, Zack, and Nikki; two brothers, Mike (Donna) Hansen of Alexandria, Rick (Deb) Hansen of Brainerd; sister, Kathy (Norman) Bogatzki of Cold Spring; and five nieces.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a nephew.

Rob was a good friend for many years. My prayers go out to his family. My parents were also good friends to his parents......back in the day. Greg Linder
