Wayne Daniel Hanson, age 51, of Miltona, formerly of Hudson, Wisconsin, died unexpectedly, Thursday, February 16, 2012, at Western Maryland Regional Center in Cumberland, Maryland.
Wayne Daniel Hanson, age 51, of Miltona, formerly of Hudson, Wisconsin, died unexpectedly, Thursday, February 16, 2012, at Western Maryland Regional Center in Cumberland, Maryland.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 3 at 11 a.m. at Spruce Hill Lutheran Church in Spruce Hill Township with the Rev. Kari van Wakeren officiating. Music will be provided by organist, Kevin Lee. Burial will take place at the church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Kim Hanson, Jerry Hanson, James Colbeth, Kevin Colbeth, Tom Hanson, Joshua Johnson, Jeff Paulson and Dave Paulson.
Visitation will be Friday, March 2 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Lind Family Funeral Home in Miltona and continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
Wayne was born August 30, 1960 to Richard and Vernette (Hanson) Hanson in Alexandria. He was baptized at Spruce Hill Lutheran Church in Spruce Hill Township and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Cottage Grove, where he grew up and attended public school. He graduated from Park Senior High in 1978.
Following his education, he worked various jobs within the printed circuit industry. He attended Concordia College in St. Paul and began working for several contractors as a NAVSEA technical representative. He graduated from Concordia College, summa cum laude in May of 2007. Wayne was currently working as a consultant for Professional Services of America at the Allegany Ballistics Laboratory in Rocket Center, West Virginia.
Wayne loved to travel, especially to Hawaii. In his earlier years, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area.
Wayne is survived by his son, Jason Conlin of Hastings; mother, Vernette Hanson of Miltona; two brothers, Kim Hanson of Miltona and Jerry Hanson of Lino Lakes; sister, Sheryl Hanson of Cottage Grove; niece, Hannah (Derek) Eggert; two nephews, James Colbeth and Kevin Colbeth; great-niece, Aubriana Colbeth; along with many friends and co-workers.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Hanson in 2009.
