Julie Alice Lunke, 56, of Apple Valley, passed away Thursday, March 10, 2011, surrounded by her loving family.

Julie Alice Lunke, 56, of Apple Valley, passed away Thursday, March 10, 2011, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born July 21, 1954 in Alexandria to W. Raymond and Helen May (Schaub) Butler.

Julie is survived by her husband of 33 years, Jay; son, Jeremy (Katie) Lunke; daughter, Jana (Matthew) Carlson; grandchildren, Allie, Rylie and Lynsie Lunke; mother, Helen (late W. Raymond) Butler; sisters, Terry (Dean) Ortner, Karen (Gene) Carlson, and Lori (Jim) Jensen; brothers, Larry (Jeanne), Gene (Susan), and Mark (Ann) Butler; aunt, Harriet Martin; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Julie loved the Lord and lived out her love for Him by healing others as a registered nurse for decades for the Apple Valley Health Care Center, and also reading, capturing, and sharing the Holy Scriptures. She was also passionate about her grandchildren, camping and the Minnesota Vikings. She will be forever loved and missed.

Funeral services were held Monday, March 14 at the Eagan Hills Alliance Church, 700 Diffley Road, Eagan. Interment was at Lebanon Cemetery in Apple Valley.
