Loretta was born August 10, 1933 to Edmund and Clara (Klimek) Roers in Effington Township. She was baptized and confirmed at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Urbank. She grew up in the Urbank area and attended the Sacred Heart Parochial School before attending Parkers Prairie High School.
Following her education she was united in marriage to Urban J. Klimek on September 25, 1951, at Sacred Heart Church in Urbank. Following their marriage they farmed near Millerville on the family farm until 1960, when they moved to their current farm near Urbank. She worked for her daughter, Pat, at P.J.‘s Gas and Groceries from 1984-1994. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Christian Mothers. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, puzzles and playing cards. She loved a manicured yard and especially enjoyed gardening, flower beds and yard work.
Loretta is survived by her husband, Urban; three daughters, Linda (Wayne) Rotz of Clitherall, Patricia (special friend, Jared Perala) Klimek of Deer Creek and Gloria (Teddy) Bjerketvedt of Parkers Prairie; two sons, Kenny Klimek of Parkers Prairie and Kelley (fiancee, Sheila Rolhoff) Klimek of Hudson, Wisconsin; five brothers, Leonard (Viann) Roers of Alexandria, Harold (Elreen) Roers of Parkers Prairie, Cernie (special friend, Dolly Nagle) Roers of Sierra Vista, Arizona, Matt (Gert) Roers of Brooklyn Park, and Rollie (Diane) Roers of Richfield; three sisters, Regina Klimek of Millerville, Dorothy Cihlar of Alexandria and Adeline (Ron) Gust of Burnsville; 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Mass of Christian Burial was held November 29 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Urbank with the Rev. LeRoy Scheierl officiating. Music was provided by the church choir. Burial was at the church cemetery.
Pallbearers were her grandsons, Cory Thoennes, Derek Rotz, Nick Kamphake, Damian Bjerketvedt, Jason Bjerketvedt, Adam Bjerketvedt, Luke Bjerketvedt, Travis Bjerketvedt, John Ross Kamphake, Kody Klimek, Scott Klimek and Shane Klimek. Honorary pallbearers were her granddaughters, Melanie Hartman, Kayla Lence, Brittany Bjerketvedt and Shannon Bjerketvedt.
