John L. Hagen, 54, of Garfield, died of a stroke on Wednesday, July 22, 2010 at St. Cloud Hospital.
John L. Hagen, 54, of Garfield, died of a stroke on Wednesday, July 22, 2010 at St. Cloud Hospital.
He was born August 24, 1955 in Minneapolis, the son of Melvin and Helen Hagen. He resided in St. Francis and Mounds View, where he graduated from high school in 1973.
John was a truck driver for several years and worked for Brenton Engineering in Alexandria for the past five years as a machinist and was a painter in several locations, including weekends for Cooper’s Technology Group. He resided in Clitherall, Cambridge and currently lived in Garfield.
His hobbies included bass fishing, golf, canoeing, camping and spending time with family and friends.
He was a member of the American Legion and enjoyed playing softball with their league.
Preceding him in death were his parents and grandparents.
Survivors include four children, Stevie of Fargo and Toni Hagen of Elizabeth, John and Andy Hagen of St. Frances; several grandchildren; brother, Gary Hagen of Red Wood Falls; along with numerous special family and friends.
A visitation and sharing of memories was held Tuesday, July 27 at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church of Garfield. The Rev. David Gran officiated.
