Doris was born September 7, 1920 in New York, New York to Albert and Alma (Carlson) Fryer.
Doris was united in marriage to Merle G. Cozad on April 30, 1941 in Minneapolis. Merle died June 30, 1970. After many years living in Robbinsdale, Doris moved to Alexandria on December 18, 2003 where she lived at Windmill Ponds. She moved to Bethany Home on March 10, 2008.
Doris enjoyed watching the Minnesota Twins, working on puzzles and playing cards.
She is survived by her great-great-niece, Dawn (Ryan) Jantzen of Alexandria, great-great-nephew, Ronald Stubbs of Albuquerque, NM; and many other nieces and nephews.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Alma; and husband, Merl Cozad.
A prayer service for Doris was held on Monday, October 26 at Anderson Funeral Home with the Rev. David Hinz officiating. Interment was at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis. Honorary casket bearers were Doris’ great-great-great nieces and nephews, Aaron Stubbs, Ashley Jantzen and Jordan Jantzen; and one great-great-great-great-nephew, Gauge Stubbs.
