Jeanne Slack, 83, died October 3, 2009 in Overland Park, Kansas. She was born October 20, 1925 in Fairbury, Nebraska.
Jeanne was an elementary teacher, librarian, and was best known as a school principal, as she held that position for 27 years in Brandon. She also was a business owner of a family resort on Lake Carlos near Alexandria. Jeanne was also a tax auditor and financial counselor for the state of Minnesota.
Survivors include her three children, twin sons, Richard H. Steinmetz of Gainesville, Florida and Robert H. Steinmetz of Overland Park, Kansas, and her daughter, Shayne Graves of Brooklyn Center.
Jeanne’s wish was for a full body donation to the University of Kansas. This was done in coordination with Maple Hill Funeral Home in Kansas City, Kansas.
