Robert Berggren, 89

Robert E. Berggren, 89, Alexandria, died Friday, August 21, 2009 at Knute Nelson Home.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Mary.

He is survived by his son, Larry (Carol) Berggren of Fountain City, WI; daughters, Nancy (Tom) Cruise of Batavia, IL, Susan (Randy) Arnold of Kalama, WA, Denise Lotton of St. Bonifacius, Diane (Jerry) Peper of Alexandria; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, August 25, from 5 to 7 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at Anderson Funeral Home.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 26 at 11 a.m. at Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria. Military honors will be done by American Legion Post #87 and VFW Post #936. Inurnment will be at Carlos Prairie Cemetery in Carlos.
