Connie Peterson, 61

Connie Elizabeth Peterson, 61, passed away in Minneapolis on August 10, 2009 from complications of multiple sclerosis (MS).

She was born in Austin, Minnesota on June 12, 1948, moving to Alexandria in 1950. Connie graduated from Jefferson High School in Alexandria in 1966 and from Moorhead State University in 1970. She worked as an English teacher, supervisor at St. Joseph’s Home for Children, and a graphics supervisor in Minneapolis and St. Paul.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lyall E. and Mary E. Peterson, of Alexandria.

Connie is survived by her sisters, Kathy (John) Kovar of Longville, Mary Jo Peterson (Gary Franklin) of Kalamazoo, MI, a brother, Brian (Laura) Peterson of Alexandria; nephew, John K. Kovar of Eden Prairie; and niece, Christina C. Peterson of Baltimore, MD.

A memorial service will be planned for a later date. Interment will be at Kinkead Cemetery.

Connie will be truly missed by those who loved her. Memorials are preferred to the National MS Society of Minnesota.
