Joyce was born August 17, 1934 in Brandon Township, the daughter of John and Julia (Kolberg) Strom. She graduated from Brandon High School.
On February 17, 1958, Joyce was united in marriage to Vernon Lehn. The couple farmed in the Brandon area. She also loved to garden, make jelly, lefse, doughnuts, and fattimond at Christmas. Joyce would also help Vernie make sausage.
Joyce was very active in her church, Chippewa Lutheran, where she made quilts for the missions, was a Sunday school teacher, sang in the choir, was church officer, and a member of the Dorcas Circle.
Vernon died in 1998. Joyce remained on the farm with her pets, Cody and Sambo. She was a loving aunt who babysat her nieces, nephews and neighborhood children.
She is survived by her brother, Clifford Strom; sister, Evelyn Myrin; and 21 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Vernon; and brothers, Raymond, Vernon, Kenneth, Roy and Francis.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 4 at Chippewa Lutheran Church in Brandon with the Rev. Tony Stockman officiating.
Pallbearers were Paul Lehn, Todd Strom, Paul Strom, Steve Myrin, Jay Klein and Jeremy Klein.
Burial was at Chippewa Lutheran Cemetery in Brandon.
