Bonnie Kay Beaman, 50, Vergas, died in her home near Vergas on April 5, 2009. Visitation is scheduled at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church-Loon Lake on Wednesday, April 8, from 4-7 p.m., with a prayer service at 3:30 p.m., and also one hour prior to the service on Thursday. Funeral services are Thursday, April 9, 2009, at 11 a.m. in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church-Loon Lake, rural Vergas, with Reverend Robert Hinckley officiating.

Bonnie Kay Beaman, 50, Vergas, died in her home near Vergas on April 5, 2009.

Bonnie Kay Schermerhorn was born on May 11, 1958, in Perham to Allan and Elaine (Stebbins) Schermerhorn. She grew up in rural Vergas on a farm, attended school in Perham, graduating from Perham High School. On June 3, 1978, she was married at the United Methodist Church in Dent and was married for 23 years. Bonnie was a hardworking woman. Over the years she worked at Goodman’s Grocery Store, owned a mink farm, did daycare and most recently had her own cleaning business for the past several years. She was baptized and confirmed at the United Methodist Church in Dent. She later became a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran-Loon Lake. Bonnie loved animals and outdoor activities. She was a loving and dedicated mother and will be deeply missed by her children, extended children, and family and friends.

Bonnie is survived by two children, Natasha (Alan Munson) Beaman, Derick Beaman; siblings, Larry (JoAnne) Schermerhorn, Eugene (Vicky) Schermerhorn, Nancy (Ronnie) Kratzke, Randy (Karla) Schermerhorn, Janelle (Neil) Dow; her mother, Elaine Schermerhorn; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death are her father, Allan Schermerhorn, and a nephew.

Visitation is scheduled at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church-Loon Lake on Wednesday, April 8, from 4-7 p.m., with a prayer service at 3:30 p.m., and also one hour prior to the service on Thursday.

Funeral services are Thursday, April 9, 2009, at 11 a.m. in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church-Loon Lake, rural Vergas, with Reverend Robert Hinckley officiating.

Burial will follow the service at the church cemetery.

Arrangements are with Furey Funeral Home, Vergas.
