Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, March 22, followed by a 7 p.m. prayer service, at West Funeral Home in West Fargo. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday, March 23 at Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Snellman, with burial following in the Snellman Cemetery.

Former Fargo resident Eugene A. Davidson, 79, of Osage, died Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at Tucson Medical Center in Tucson, Ariz.
Eugene Andrew Davidson was born to David and Marie (Tresmer) Davidson on July 3, 1929 in Amery, Wis. He grew up in Amery and graduated from Amery High School. On Jan. 7, 1949 he married Margie Gorres, and together they had nine children.
Gene married Ernestine “Ernie” Kramer on Aug. 31, 1984. They made their home in Fargo. He worked as a mechanic and night foreman at Cummins Diesel in Fargo for over 30 years before retiring in 1994. They spent the summer months on Toad Lake, near Osage, and winter months in Tucson.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his wife, family and friends.
Surviving Eugene are his wife, Ernie; children, Patricia (Rodney) Ensrud of Bismarck, N.D., Judith (Scott) Ellison of Inver Grove Heights, Minn., Janet (Dan) Davidson-Harrington of West Fargo, Donna Huseby of Moorhead, David Davidson, Mary Kay (Garfield) Hoglund, Ben Davidson and Kathy Kroshus, all of Fargo, Rebecca (Rick) Reichenbach of Las Vegas, Nev., Tracy Rayes, Fargo and Troy Groeneveld of Denver, Colo.; special niece, Cindy (Jeff) Taylor of Eau Claire, Wis.; 28 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren; and two brothers, Paul (Brenda) Davidson of Cumberland, Wis. and Bob (Inez) Davidson of Branson, Mo.
Preceding him in death were his parents, David and Marie Davidson; sisters, Nora Routie and Rosemary Fougner; granddaughter, Elizabeth Jungels; and grandsons, Rodney and Michael Ensrud.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, March 22, followed by a 7 p.m. prayer service, at West Funeral Home in West Fargo.
