Former White Earth resident Gerald M. Warren, 68, of Prior Lake, Minn., died Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at the Minneapolis Veterans Hospital. Friends may call from 4 p.m. Friday, Feb. 27 until 9 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 28 at the White Earth Community Center and at the church one hour prior to the mass on Saturday. A mass of Christian burial is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 28 at St. Benedict’s Catholic Church in White Earth, with the Rev. Walter Butor, OMI, officiating. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, White Earth.

Former White Earth resident Gerald M. Warren, 68, of Prior Lake, Minn., died Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at the Minneapolis Veterans Hospital.
Gerald Maxime Warren was born to Clifford and Dora (McDougall) Warren on June 2, 1940 in White Earth, where he was raised and educated, and graduated from Waubun High School in 1958. He served with the U.S. Army.
Following his discharge from the army, Gerald attended the carpentry program at the Detroit Lakes Vocational-Technical Institute. Following graduation he worked as a carpenter in the White Earth area until moving to Lakeville, Minn., in 1989. He moved to Prior Lake in 2002.
Gerald enjoyed deer hunting, bird watching, feeding the birds and fishing.
Surviving Gerald are his daughter, Christie VanHecke of Prior Lake; son, Gerald Warren of Thief River Falls; and two brothers, Clifford (Cleo) Warren of White Earth and Leonard (Karen) Warren of Lakeville.
Preceding him in death were his brother, Harold “Britt” Warren and two sisters, Nancy Anderson and Louise Lattie.
