Ione O. Larson, 81, of Lake Park, passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2008, at Sunnyside Care Center, Lake Park, under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley. Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, at Lake Park Lutheran Church, Lake Park. Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, at Lake Park Lutheran Church, Lake Park. Interment will follow at Lake Park Lutheran Church Cemetery, Lake Park. Ione O. Larson, 81, of Lake Park, passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2008, at Sunnyside Care Center, Lake Park, under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.

Ione was born to Elmer and Evelyn (Loe) Hagen on Sept. 29, 1927, in Northwood, N.D., where she grew up and attended rural country school. On June 20, 1954, she married Lloyd Larson in Northwood. Together, they farmed and raised their six children in rural Lake Park. In 1977, they retired from farming and moved in to Lake Park. She then worked at Bec-Lin Foods for several years.

Ione enjoyed needlework and embroidery, cooking and baking, but most of all spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed.

Ione is survived by her children, LeRoy (Deb) Larson of Lake Park, LaVonne (Paul) Molacek of Callaway, Lawrence (Sue) Larson of Detroit Lakes, Linda Larson of Fargo, Lynette (Brian) Mischke of Horace, N.D., and LuAnn (Dave Brakken) Larson, also of Horace; 17 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; her sister, Eleanor (Clarence) Olson of Larimore, N.D.; and one niece.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Lloyd; her parents; and a brother, Clair Hagen.

Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, at Lake Park Lutheran Church, Lake Park.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, at Lake Park Lutheran Church, Lake Park. Interment will follow at Lake Park Lutheran Church Cemetery, Lake Park.
