Former Frazee resident Patrick I. Murray, 92, of Detroit Lakes, died Thursday, February 7, 2008 at St. Mary’s Care Center, Detroit Lakes. Private services will be held in the spring, with burial at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Frazee. West-Kjos Funeral Home, Detroit Lakes, has been entrusted with arrangements. Former Frazee resident Patrick I. Murray, 92, of Detroit Lakes, died Thursday, February 7, 2008 at St. Mary’s Care Center, Detroit Lakes.

Patrick was born to Patrick and Bertha (Jarvis) Murray on Jan. 2, 1916 in East Grand Forks, Minn., where he was raised and educated, graduating from Scared Heart High School. Patrick subsequently graduated from the University of North Dakota, and began working for the city of East Grand Forks in the Electric Utility Department.

Patrick married Claire Rehor in November 1964 in East Grand Forks. They moved to Twin Valley, and Patrick worked for Ulen Telephone Company until retiring in 1981. After his retirement, they moved to Grand Forks, N.D., until 1984, when they moved to Frazee. Patrick moved to Detroit Lakes in 1997.

Surviving Patrick are his stepdaughter, Donna (Nace) Halpin of Rathdrum, Idaho; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents; wife Claire (1995); one stepdaughter; four brothers and one sister.

Private services will be held in the spring, with burial at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Frazee.
