Lorayne was born July 9, 1921 in Spruce Hill Township, the daughter of John and Olga (Arvidson) Beheng. She attended school through the eighth grade in Carlos Township.
On February 2, 1943, Lorayne was united in marriage to Alfred Mrnak at Spruce Hill Lutheran Church. To this union, two children were born, Gary and Lois. The couple raised their children and farmed in Miltona Township all their married life. Alfred died in 1968 and after his death, Lorayne worked at Angelina’s as a cook.
On November 27, 1976, Lorayne married Ray Ahlbrecht at Faith Lutheran Church in Miltona. The couple lived in Carlos Township, where they farmed for several years. Ray died in 1998 and in 2002, Lorayne moved to Alexandria.
Lorayne will be remembered for her delicious homemade buns. She loved to cook, bake, fish and travel. She enjoyed doing volunteer work at Bethany and was recognized for this and was very proud of it.
She is survived by her children, Gary (Bev) Mrnak of Miltona, Lois (Wayne) Rediehs of Carlos; seven grandchildren, Troy and Lisa Rediehs, Cory Rediehs, Lyndi and Darrin Thesing, Julie Mrnak, Jodie Mrnak Baumann and friend, Joe Waldorf, Trevor Rediehs, Todd and Ann Marie Mrnak; nine great-grandchildren; brother, Darrel Beheng of Miltona; three stepsons, Robert Ahlbrect and family, James Ahlbrecht and family, Steven Ahlbrecht and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alfred in 1968, husband, Ray in 1998; and brother, Merlin Beheng.
Funeral services were held Thursday, March 21 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Carlos. Burial was at Kinkead Cemetery in Alexandria.
