Angela Christina (Prazak) Spaeth, 95, died Friday, March 8, 2013 at Knute Nelson in Alexandria.

Angela was born in Evansville on December 8, 1917, the daughter of John and Regina (Pehan) Prazak.

She attended school District #56 in Douglas County. She was united in marriage to Leander Spaeth on June 17, 1941 at Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Millerville. They farmed for 25 years before moving to Alexandria.

She was a loving mother and a friend to many. She enjoyed being a homemaker and a gardener, with a special love of flowers. After a stroke in 2004, she made her home at Knute Nelson. There she began embroidering again and many friends and family members have received gifts of her work. Her greatest joy was having family together. She will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her daughter, Jean (Roger) Odegaard of Alexandria; son, Gary (Pat) Spaeth of Alexandria; son-in-law, Wayne (Verda) Dreger of Miltona; eight grandchildren, Jeanne (Nate) Thiesfeld of St. Bonifacius, Ken (Sheri) Dreger of Deer Trail, CO, Sandy (Keith) Wussow of Garfield, Brenda (Craig) Mariucci of Clovis, CA, Chris (Steph) Odegaard of Lino Lakes, Jennifer (Tom) Borgenheimer of St. Cloud, Jeremy (Carla) Spaeth of Brandon, Jenel (Dan) Palm of Alexandria; 21 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leander Spaeth; son, Delbert Prazak; daughter, Delores Dreger; sisters, Regina Prazak, Rita Schmidt; brothers, John Prazak Jr., Frank Prazak, Raymond Prazak, Aloys Prazak and Daniel Prazak.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday, March 12 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alexandria with Father Steve Binsfeld officiating. Interment was at St. Mary’s Catholic Mausoleum. Casket bearers were Jeanne Thiesfeld, Ken Dreger, Sandy Wussow, Brenda Mariucci, Chris Odegaard, Jennifer Borgenheimer, Jeremy Spaeth and Jenel Palm.
