Luallen “Louie” F. Iverson, 79, Alexandria, died January 15, 2013, at St. Cloud Hospital after a brief illness.
Luallen “Louie” F. Iverson, 79, Alexandria, died January 15, 2013, at St. Cloud Hospital after a brief illness.
He was born in Holmes City on February 1, 1933 to Emil and Aurelia (Kvitek) Iverson.
Louie was united in marriage to Anita Barsness on October 26, 1953. To this union, three children were born. Louie worked all his life as a brick and block layer and worked on several construction jobs throughout Minnesota.
Louie enjoyed outdoor activities, which included deer hunting and fishing. He also liked to pickle and smoke the fish he caught and make potato sausage. Later on in life, he enjoyed gardening, bird watching and doing puzzles.
Louie is survived by his wife of 59 years, Anita; daughter, Lynn Sebek (Steve) of Erhard; sons, Jerome Iverson (Rozan) of Stoddard, Wisconsin, Jay Iverson of Alexandria; grandchildren, Adam (Tiffany) Sebek, Aaron Sebek and finance’, Emily Klimek, Tiffany Iverson and special friend, Kevin Jones, Kristine (Justin) LeMay, Alexander Iverson; and great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Gavin and Gunner.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Lloyd, Loren and Milo.
Mass of Christian Burial was held Friday, January 18 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alexandria with the Rev. Steve Binsfeld officiating. Burial was at Evergreen Cemetery.
