Luella was born December 10, 1930 in Villard, the daughter of Vance and Blanche (Nelson) Hunter. She grew up in Villard, where she graduated from high school. Following her schooling, Luella moved to Minneapolis and worked as a nursing assistant at General Hospital.

Luella enjoyed nature; the bird and squirrel feeders always entertained her outside her window at Knute. Luella also collected the prized Longaberger baskets; her collection is extensive. Luella never had a driver’s license and never felt the need for one. She was skilled at using the public transportation system in Minneapolis.

One of her pastimes was to shop and she often made purchases for others as she enjoyed giving to others. She was always willing to go out to eat and enjoyed company in the process.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Vance Hunter Jr.; and sister, Florence Townsend.

I'm so sorry to hear about Luella Beto passing.. My heart goes out to her family members. I loved talking with her while i was her housekeeper. She's a lovely lady, and loved to talk with me and others. I liked visiting with her all the time, we would talk about the one big squirrel, that hung around her window at lunch time.. It was funny, we laughed alot.. I will keep her in my prayers. Sincerally, Serena Gustafson, KN Housekeeper.
