Eileen was born May 8, 1921 in Villard, the daughter of Alvin and Kate Hutchins. She graduated from Alexandria High School. She was employed by Douglas County Social Services as a social worker.

Eileen was married to Reuben Fritz. To this union, a son, Gordon was born, who was the light of Eileen’s life. Eileen raised Gordon all by herself after he was 4 years old. Later on in life, they enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and Europe. Gordon died on April 11, 1995.

Eileen enjoyed reading the Bible, going out for coffee or lunch with friends or sitting in the back yard watching the birds. She was also gifted at writing poetry.

She was preceded in death by her son, Gordy; and her parents.

Funeral services were held Monday, January 7 at Anderson Funeral Home. Burial was at Lake Amelia Cemetery in Leven Township.
