Kris was born in Morris on March 2, 1962, the daughter of David and Yvonne (Solvie) Dosdall. She was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church of Cyrus and attended school in Cyrus until the family moved to Alexandria in 1978.

Kris graduated from Jefferson High School in Alexandria in 1980 and furthered her education at Anoka Ramsey Technical College, where she majored in human services. Upon graduation, she returned to Alexandria and was employed by the DAC, assisting with the mentally and physically challenged.

On December 23, 1989, Kris was united in marriage to Chris Anderson. The couple lived in Prior Lake and from 2000 to 2005 they lived in Duluth. They and their family of two boys moved back to Alexandria in 2004 and began operating the Anderson Outpost near Carlos State Park until 2010.

Kris loved to garden, loved going to garage sales and hunting for antiques. She especially enjoyed watching her boys play baseball.

She is survived by her boys, Christian Anderson of Alexandria and Kaden Anderson of Alexandria; brothers, Kevin (Leslie) Dosdall of San Angelo, TX and Jere Dosdall of Pottsville, TX; and a sister, Julie (Steven) Sherman of Garfield. Also surviving are her parents, David Dosdall of Pottsville, TX and Yvonne Solvie of Alexandria; and nieces and nephews, Alex Dosdall, Ted Dosdall, Hannah Dosdall, Kodi Dosdall, Bailey Shay, Maggie Shay and Colton Sherman.

Kris was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Shantel Faith Anderson.

Memorial services were held Monday, December 31 from Calvary Lutheran Church with the Rev. Hans Dahl officiating. Music was provided by Kim Byrne, pianist, and soloists Kelly Smith and Jere Solvie.
