Harry August Roers, age 103, of The Villages, Florida, formerly of Alexandria, passed away peacefully at home with his daughter at his side on December 4, 2012.

Harry August Roers, age 103, of The Villages, Florida, formerly of Alexandria, passed away peacefully at home with his daughter at his side on December 4, 2012.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret; daughter, Diane Curran; grandson, Michael Curran; parents and siblings.

Harry is survived by his daughter, Conni (Walter); grandchildren, Rick (Ann), Deb (Steve), Brittany, Christin (Eric); and seven great-grandchildren (with another on the way); very special friend, Mary Roers; and many other family and friends.

A Memorial Mass will be held Friday, July 5, 2013 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alexandria. A reception will follow Mass. Interment is at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
