Marcene M. (Kaul) Ziegelman, 84, Garfield, formerly of Cheyenne, Wyoming and Golden, Colorado, died November 17 in Alexandria.

Marcene M. (Kaul) Ziegelman, 84, Garfield, formerly of Cheyenne, Wyoming and Golden, Colorado, died November 17 in Alexandria.

Marcene was born January 14, 1928 in Garfield to Marvin and Elsie Russell and had lived again in Garfield since her marriage to Ralph Ziegelman in 1999.

Marcene trained to be a nurse until her marriage to Wilbur Ziegelman on June 9, 1946. They ventured west and lived in Casper, Wyoming until his death in 1963. She then moved to Cheyenne after her marriage to Ed Kaul in 1965, where they lived until moving to Colorado in 1973.

Marcene is survived by her husband, Ralph Ziegelman; four children, Merle and Marcia Ziegelman of Cheyenne, WY; Tammy and Jim Johnson of Cheyenne, WY; Kevin and Julye Ziegelman of Westminster, CO; and Sheila Kaul of Fountain, CO; two stepchildren, Tom and Larae Ziegelman of Garfield, and Mike and Cindy Ziegelman of Garfield; 11 grandchildren, Lynsey Ballou of Las Lunas, NM; Tristan Johnson, Travis Johnson and Jake Johnson of Cheyenne, WY; Katie, Kayle and Kelsie Ziegelman of Westminster, CO; Keith Wineland of Colorado Springs, CO and Kyle Wineland of Fountain, CO; Casey and Matt Ruckheim of Parkers Prairie, and Trent Ziegelman of Garfield; and seven great-grandchildren, Jenna and Logan Kramer of Cheyenne, WY; Brooklynn and Gavin Ballou of Las Lunas, NM; and Audrey, Isaac and Levi Ruckheim of Parkers Prairie; as well as her beloved four-legged “child,” Sir Charles Tufford Ziegelman.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Wilbur Ziegelman in 1963 and Ed Kaul in 1986; sister, Fernyne Ziegelman; brother, Kenneth Russell; and her parents, Marvin and Elsie Russell.

Services were held November 20 in Garfield at St. John’s Lutheran Church with the Rev. Benjamin Schimm officiating. Honorary pallbearers were Barb Martinson, Kathy Slavik, Tom Ziegelman, Mike Ziegelman, and all of Marcene’s grandchildren.
