The third floor of the new addition at the Douglas County Hospital will now house the birthing center, which includes five birthing rooms (shown), along with 15 post-partum recovery rooms, 11 additional private patient rooms and the newborn nursery. In the future, there is room to house a dedicated C-section operating room,
as well.
